The Greendale, WI Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society is a fraternity dedicated to providing its members, audience, and community with a cappella entertainment excellence, education in this unique American musical style, and altruistic service.
Founded in 1989, the Midwest Vocal Express (MVE) male a cappella chorus specializes in “Storytelling through Song,” performing:

Headquartered in Greendale, WI, and made up of singers from across Southeast Wisconsin, MVE is known locally for the best in family entertainment, and worldwide for their “legendary” theatrical presentations on the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Contest Stage.
There are over 800 chapters worldwide, and the Midwest Vocal Express has competed in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Chorus contest 14 times. MVE has held the 5th Place Bronze Medalist Chorus position three times.
Meet Our Director:
Bryan Ziegler
Bryan Ziegler is the baritone of After Hours, the reigning International Champion of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
He is a District Quartet champion and College Quartet Medalist.
In addition to earning his BA in Music, Bryan has studied music theory/composition at the graduate level, studied to be a certified Music Judge, and has arranged contest pieces for his medalist quartet. He is certified to teach K-12 music.
He is an experienced BHS director, and has and has served as section leader, sung, and competed with multiple medalist choruses.
