18 Years of Barbershop Excellence
In
1988 a small group of men dedicated to the
art of music in the Barbershop style, formed
Midwest Vocal Express, the Greendale, WI
Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Our director As a singer, Grant Wilson has lifted his voice with a number of championship level quartets highlighted by appearances at the international contest. Three times he competed on the finest barbershop contest stage in the world with quartets “Highfalutin,” “Hullabaloo,” and “Jackpot!” Wilson also has extensive coaching experience, having helped many quartets and choruses, including the International Top 20 quartet “Voices Only,” Division One Champions “Magnum,” Spin (SAI), the Milwaukee Showcase Chorus (SAI), and Pride of the Valley Chorus. For the past fourteen years Grant Wilson has worked as the Corporate Financial Manager of Bostik Inc, a prominent multi-national adhesives company located in Milwaukee. Previously he was a Financial Analyst for Chrysler Canada and a Staff Accountant at Collins Barrow CA. |

Grant
Wilson brings a broad array of singing, directing
and coaching talents to the chorus. His directing
career began in Canada with the Windsor Ontario
Chapter and continued with Scarborough Dukes of
Harmony and the Sarnia Chapter. In 1991, Wilson led
the East York Barbershoppers to the Barbershop
Harmony Society International Competition. He has
also served as Director for the Milwaukee Barbershop
chapter and has been the assistant director of The
Midwest Vocal Express for several seasons.
